Lightweight Spencer Fisher likely retiring after Friday night fight with Sam Stout

It looks like this weekend will mark the final time fans will have an opportunity to see seasoned veteran Spencer Fisher in action. Fisher, who made his Octagon debut in 2005, has come forward to say his bout with Sam Stout at UFC on FX 4 will almost certainly be his last.

Stout and Fisher have met twice before, splitting a pair of decisions.

“I’ve been missing a lot of stuff with my family. It gets tougher and tougher as they get older,” Fisher admitted in a recent interview with MMAFighting. “It kinda makes sense right now.”

If Fisher is indeed done with MMA  the 36-year old will exit the sport with more than twenty wins including those over Caol Uno, Aaron Riley, Jeremy Stephens, and Thiago Alves.
