Ronda Rousey headed for ESPN Magazine’s “Body” issue

Earlier today ESPN announced the list of athletes being featured in its annual “Body” issue and to the delight of MMA fans the world wide none other than Strikeforce bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey was among them. Rousey is currently undefeated in her career since transitioning from a run as an Olympic medaling Judoka and has quickly become one of the sport’s biggest stars based on attitude, aggression, and appearance.

The 25-year old title-holder expressed excitement about the matter shortly after it came to light, saying she’d spoken about it with her family and they all agreed she should pursue the opportunity.

ESPN Magazine’s “Body” edition features numerous high-level athletes essentially in the buff without any true nudity being involved. Past female fighters to be involved include Cristiane Santos and Gina Carano.

The issue will be released on July 13. A little more than a month later Rousey will defend her belt against Sarah Kaufman at a Strikeforce event in San Diego.
