The UFC will treat fans in Nottingham, England to a heavyweight headliner when the promotion heads there on September 29 for a recently announced show. According to UFC officials, towering scrapper Stefan Struve will take on unbeaten peer Stipe Miocic in the evening’s main event. Both men are coming off convincing stoppages last month at UFC 146.
Though no tag has been attached to the card it is believed to be headed to FX or Fuel TV rather than PPV.
Struve holds an overall record of 24-5 with 22 stoppages including those in his last three tilts against Pat Barry, Dave Herman, and most recently Lavar Johnson. Comparably, Miocic is 9-0 with eight finishes and back-to-back knockouts.
Struve Plans on Having Many Great Moments Inside the Octagon
Miocic-Struve join Brad Pickett-Yves Jabouin and Andy Ogle-Akira Corassani as the only match-ups revealed thus far. Dan Hardy and Paul Sass are both expected to see action at the event as well.
