Leonard Garcia excited about possible placement on UFC event in China

Leonard Garcia is one of the most exciting fighters in all of MMA, as the “Bad Boy” loves standing and trading despite it not necessarily being the wisest of strategies as indicated by three consecutive losses for the Greg Jackson-trained pupil. However, as long as Garcia is keeping the fans happy he seems to be content chugging along as he always has. Fortunately, it seems as though his employers at the UFC also seem to enjoy his style as well to the point they appear ready to trust him with one of the coveted spots on a historic event this November.

According to Garcia, he believes he will be placed on the UFC’s upcoming card in China. The show, UFC on Fuel 6, marks the Octagon’s first appearance in the country.

“The opponent hasn’t quite been signed yet,” said Garcia of the matter in a recent interview with MMA Heat. “It doesn’t matter what side of the world, I will put on a show. I’m starting to train now.”

Garcia added that he hasn’t been signed to anything official but is confident things will work out as expected.

“It’s an honor to fight anywhere, but when you go abroad, you gain such a different perspective,” explained Garcia eagerly. “It’s a great opportunity for me and I’ll perform anywhere.”

After winning nine of his first ten professional fighters, Garcia entered the UFC and was defeated by Roger Huerta. Since that time, he has gone just 6-8-1 between WEC/UFC but has been involved in four Fight of the Night affairs.
