Donald Cerrone banks $120,000 in bonuses

Saturday night was one UFC lightweight Donald Cerrone is likely to never forget after the well-rounded scrapper came back from the brink of defeat to score a strike-based stoppage of Melvin Guillard in font of his fellow Coloradans as well as earn a six-figure sum on top of his regularly contracted rate. Cerrone ate leather early and looked to be a few shots away from succumbing to Guillard’s attack before landing a crisp head-kick and follow-up shot to seal the deal against his former teammate.

Cerrone’s victory over Guillard at UFC 150 was named Knockout of the Night and Fight of the Night with each award being worth $60,000. Guillard also received $60k for his role in the evening’s affair.

Submission of the Night, and the $60,000, went to TUF finalist Dennis Bermudez who tapped out Tommy Hayden on the preliminary portion of the card. The win was Bermudez’s second straight inside the Octagon.
