Smackdown Backstage Fallout: Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, and the Primetime Players Celebrate a Good Night

The action backstage at Smackdown was apparently as heated as that in the ring on last Friday night’s show as made evident in a Backstage Fallout video released by WWE. In it, Rey Mysterio chatted after rolling up Intercontinental Champion The Miz for a win last Friday night, hinting at a potential run at the IC Championship while totally cribbing The Rock’s schtick of referring to himself in the third person. Rey Mysterio has a lot of thoughts on his victory but you’ll have to click the video to find out what Rey Mysterio has to say. Rey Mysterio!

WWE also caught up with a cheerful Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez after Del Rio’s non-match against World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, which ended in a beatdown for the champ at the hands of a bunch of fake cops. (Sadly, not the Hot Cops of Arrested Development fame.)

Finally, the clip also offered the last chance to enjoy the now unemployed AW who was interviewed after the Primetime Players once again became number one contenders to Kofi Kingston and R-Truth’s Tag Team Championships.
