Light heavyweight stand-out Matt Hamill last appearance inside the Octagon seemed likely to mark his final fight after “The Hammer” came out a few days later to announce his retirement. The decision, which he said he’d been weighing since coming up short in an earlier bout, was based on Hamill’s dwindling desire to continue competing and passion about teaching others.
However, it appears Hamill has since changed his mind, as he’s agreed to face Roger Hollett on September 22 at UFC 152 in Toronto with UFC President Dana White confirming the clash.

Hamill holds an overall record of 10-4 with success against the likes of Keith Jardine, Mark Munoz, and Tito Ortiz. Six of his wins have come by of a strike-based stoppage despite his wrestling-based background.
Hollett, a Canadian who will likely enjoy the approval of his countrymen come showtime, is a newcomer with experience in Bellator and MFC. He is 13-3 in his career with eleven finishes and victories in his last five fights.
UFC 152 will feature Demetrious Johnson-Joseph Benavidez battling for the company’s inaugural flyweight title with other notable bouts including Rory MacDonald-BJ Penn and Michael Bisping-Brian Stann.
